ENTREPRENEUR TIPS: FIVE IMPORTANT CONCEPTS TO KEEP IN CHECK

It is no secret the being an entrepreneur is one of the most difficult things to do. Once you get the idea on your mind it hardly goes away. We start with an idea that turns into a vision, then it becomes a reality. Even though risks are high and it usually takes a toll in every area of a persons life, we go ahead and do it. I believe it’s mainly because the person committing to start their new business or entrepreneurial endeavour has finally come to a realization that it is necessary in their lives. Being for reasons of challenging themselves, wanting to build something for themselves, being tired of their normal life, or maybe it’s an economic necessity. In any of those cases the path of entrepreneurship it’s a hard one.

All entrepreneurs start with good stamina, because we have to convince ourselves that our idea it’s going to work so we have to make it work. We start slowly putting our minds into our project and there is a snap moment when the decision happens: to start our own business or project. It is honestly one of the most thrilling feelings in life. We feel nervous but excited, we feel uncertainty but certain at the same time. We are afraid but courageous. It is definitely a mix of different opposite feelings. We learn so much about ourselves in that process. And in this process, starting it is one big thing. The other one is perseverance.

We often hear the big success cases of the big companies, how they thrived and became multi-million companies in matters of years. They had a good idea, good timing and good execution. Every business we see around had to start at some point. What we don’t hear as often is about the good enough companies. The smaller ones or the medium sizes ones. They are also success cases but they are not as public as others. The truth is there is different kind of companies and visions. Success is not how much money you make, but rather completing the vision you have. There is no right formula, there is no exact guidelines to have to have entrepreneurial success, there is only vision. And there is definitely change.

The change we will have to see are mainly in operation and new tools. Technology has been advancing so fast with new tools and methods. We went from physical servers to host an operating system for companies to have them in clouds. Even for our day-to-day data like sheets or documents. We as entrepreneurs have to be on the lookout for new tools and systems that could be advantageous for our operations.

So, lets identify  some key concepts that are necessary in the entrepreneurial world and to constantly keep in check:

  1. 1.Vision
Have a clear vision. Write it down, share it, believe it and work towards it.

  1. 2.Courage
Don’t loose courage. It needs to go along with perseverance. There will be tough seasons and we need to be ready for them.

  1. 3.Goals
Define your goals. Do so constantly because these will need to change when they are accomplished. Having clear goals will allow you to track success.

  1. 4.System
Create a system that works. And I am not really talking about technology or a system on a computer but a process that will help you accomplish your goals and not get tired. You need to take care of your energy and be strategic about it. Having a system and following it will be key for your project.

  1. 5.Operation
Act. Being an entrepreneur is about action, doing things and doing it correctly. Make sure you are doing what you need to do. Planning and action are the key for a good business, even if it is a one person business.

When we have clearly defined all these things concepts in our project, it’s going to make it easier to run. Escalating and growth will also be easier. Where we often fail is when we go out of scope, when we try to overdo many things and our energy collapses. Basically when things are not organized. Don’t get me wrong, we have to work hard, but we also have to work smart. So that we don’t get tired too quickly.

Having success in business is so relative. You can define it in many different ways. It just depends on how you define it for your own business and project. The journey might be long and difficult but it is also rewarding.

Two very important things to keep good stamina in this entrepreneurial journey are: Always count your wins and decide where to spend your energy. Checking these things constantly in your process will help you in your business.
